We do not share your data for third-party advertising.
5. Data storage & security
Your data may be stored on secure cloud servers (including infrastructure in
India or other regions used by our providers). We use reasonable technical
and organisational measures to protect information. No method of transmission

6. Data retention
We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, including

7. Your rights & data deletion
How to delete your account
You may request deletion of your NAMMA EV account and associated personal
data at any time, except while you have an active booking or rental
(pending verification, awaiting details, ready for handover, or ongoing).
Finish or cancel that booking first, then delete your account.
In the app (recommended):
Open Profile → Delete account.
Confirm the deletion. If you have an active booking, the App will block deletion and ask you to complete or cancel it first.
Include the email address used to sign in, and (if available) your
registered mobile number or rider ID.
We will verify the request and delete or anonymise your personal data
within 30 days, unless we must retain specific records
for legal, fraud-prevention, safety, accounting, or dispute reasons
(for example closed booking records required for tax or disputes).
After deletion, you will lose access to the App account, profile details,
push tokens, and location history. Anonymised operational records tied to
past rentals may be retained where the law requires. You may create a new
account later with the same email.
You may also request access to or correction of your personal data using the same email.
8. Children’s privacy
The App is intended for adults who can legally ride and rent vehicles.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 18.
9. Third-party services
The App may use third-party services such as email OTP delivery, Expo push
notifications, cloud hosting, and payment processors. Their processing of your
information is governed by their own privacy policies.
10. Location policy
What we access: When you grant permission, the App may access your device location while you are using the App (foreground / “when in use”). We do not request background location tracking.
Why we use it:
To help verify the address you provide during onboarding
To support safety and incident response (including SOS, where enabled)
To assist with verification of long-term rentals, when applicable
Your choices:
Location is optional. You may deny permission when prompted.
You can turn location off later in your device settings. The App will record that consent was withdrawn.
Some features (such as address verification) may work with limited functionality if location is off.
What we store: We store your consent choice and may store occasional location pings (coordinates, accuracy, and time) linked to your account. We do not sell location data.
11. Notifications policy
What we send: If you allow notifications, we may send push alerts and maintain an in-app notification list about:
Booking requests, approvals, and status changes
Verification and handover updates
Payment and wallet due reminders
Important service messages about your active rental
Why we use them: So you receive timely updates about your ride without needing to keep the App open.
Your choices:
Notifications are optional. You may deny permission when prompted.
You can disable notifications at any time in your device settings (Android: App notifications).
You can still view past messages in the in-app Notifications screen when logged in.
What we store: A device push token to deliver alerts, plus notification content and read status in your account. We do not use notifications for advertising.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date
at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update
means you accept the revised Policy.
